Land-Crawler "Habbacabanna"-II by PaxAeternum Land-Crawler "Habbacabanna"-II by PaxAeternum
Quite Possibly one of the most ridiculous things I have come up with yet. All sprouted from a story that leapt into my head from this J. Singer Sargent picture: [link] And a discussion with Atticus-W over how ferdinand's dream of his mustache being able to fly inspired the zeppelin.

This is a merchant-ship hull that has been hollowed out and replaced with more crew quarters and derricks. The wheelhouse has been elevated up on a big trussed tower, and two specially-built water-tube spiral-tube-to-column-and-header boilers (WHOS CLADDING MAKES THEM LOOK FIRE-TUBE) have been sunk into the superstructure. These feed steam to two immense treaded and articulated drive-units underneath the hull on trusswork. The whole machine can crawl over most land formations at 5 to 7 MPH. It's Mission: to find a gigantic sandstone NOSE buried in the egyptian sands, and retreive it by any means neccesary. Enjoy.

More amphibious than the Alligator warping tug (which I'm currently making an improved version with duct tape)

the ones that I'm really impressed was the land battleship but in the history of tanks and armors its really rare to see the designs of the Pre-WW1 armor design especially the ones that puts the battleship on land...

Insanely great design! Fits perfectly in my taste of land crawlers and steampunkery in general. A job well done, and the execution is very good, sir!

Thank you mister Boruta! More to come on this subject, and this actually has quite a lengthy backstory to it which I could send to you in a note :D

Once again Alex, your intricate detail strikes me, not so much the ship XD I suppose the idea of landships is a vague idea to me...

I guess DA chatting is a bit indifferent to me now that I have Skype's chirps and tweets to annoy me.
