How we Found Her.......

When we cracked open the hangar doors, each as high an office block and using a traction engine to do it by the way, and even then did we only manage to budge them a few feet, we saw the pitiful derelict that lay inside.  At least she was here, as the urban legends and lore of the dark corners in the old city did tell.  Others had told us the building was empty.

Xanadu had been a fine and a beautiful ship, the third and last great masterpiece of Claude Eckener before the industry of airship building died.  Once a proud and illustrious flying theatre and hall of music and dance, and here, now, weary worn old vessel sleeping upon girder and block in a hangar falling down around her.  And here, now, thanks to the locks and jagged windowpanes and in spite of the parts and yards of skin thieved from her by the exploring mischievous, the very last airship in all the world.

A sorry state yes, but still extant is as good as still alive.  And this here lottery ticket just seems to have turned itself into the paperwork that gives us her stewardship.  It is a good thing they sold the building to us for demolition value without knowing what was inside, or we would have no money no begin the restoration.
